Built inside 776

The investor operating system a venture firm actually runs on.

Sourcing, diligence, decisions, introductions, portfolio operations, and fund accounting, with AI running through the middle of it rather than bolted onto the side. In production since 2020. Every partner at 776 uses it daily, and so do the founders they back.

Access is by invitation.

Model Context Protocol

005 use cases

The live record, inside the assistant.

Cerebro speaks Model Context Protocol, so the assistant someone already has open can query the firm's live record, and act on it, with exactly that person's permissions.

Most AI + your data

Most AI plus your data is a chatbot with a stale copy of your documents. It knows what was true when the copy was made and can do nothing about it.

Cerebro over MCP

Cerebro queries the live record when you ask. It can write back through the same rules the app enforces.

Ask across the firm

Ask one question spanning notes, files, conversations, calendar, and relationships. Cerebro pulls the answer from the live record instead of making you search each system yourself.

Give me background on this company.

Meeting prep on request

Meeting prep is assembled when you need it. The relevant context comes together from the firm's live record instead of being collected by hand.

Brief me on the two o'clock.

Find the real relationship

Cerebro finds who at the firm actually has the relationship. It derives that answer from what people write, not from who is copied on an email.

Who here has the strongest line to this company?

Write it back

The result can become a note, task, or field in the record. It is written under that person and logged through the same permissions as the app.

Capture that as a note on the company and flag the follow-up.

Ask across the portfolio

Portfolio-wide questions run against the same figures the fund reports on. The answer comes from the record that already supports the firm's reporting.

Which companies have under a year of runway and no meeting booked?

  1. 000

The note exists before the meeting does

    Automatic notes

Cerebro reads the calendar ahead of time and creates the meeting and the note on its own. Every attendee is matched to a person already in the system and linked, with the company they work at. It goes live shortly before the meeting starts.

Nobody opens a blank page. The record already knows who is in the room.

    Live
  2. 001

A warm introduction from whoever actually has the relationship

    Introductions

Find any person in Cerebro and ask for an introduction from their profile. The request goes out from whoever at the firm genuinely knows them, which is often Alexis. Both sides opt in before anyone is put in a room.

Consent is part of the mechanism, not a courtesy. Nobody is volunteered.

    Live
  3. 002

Founders borrow the loudest account in the room

    Amplify

Draft, review, schedule and publish to X, LinkedIn and Instagram, including through Alexis’s own accounts. His reach is orders of magnitude larger than a typical founder account. Founders warm a vertical up before their outreach lands there.

Distribution is a service the firm runs, not advice it gives.

    Live
  4. 003

One note, written while the meeting happens

    Collaborative notes

Real-time multiplayer editing with live cursors and presence, the way a shared document works. Two people on the same call write one note instead of two. This is how the firm runs its own internal meetings.

The record is agreed while everyone is still in the room.

    Live
  5. 004

One box across everything the firm knows

    Network search

Companies, people, notes, files, conversations and meetings answer together. Exact names and vague descriptions both work, because keyword and meaning-based search run at once and the rankings are combined. Results only ever contain what you are allowed to see.

You can find a meeting you can describe but cannot name.

    Live
  6. 005

The room tells you it is about to start

    Meeting reminders

A few minutes before a call, a card slides in wherever you are in Cerebro: who is coming, how long you have, and one click into the note that already exists for it. Only for meetings with someone else on them, and it goes away the moment you dismiss it — in every tab at once.

The prompt arrives with the record attached, not just the calendar entry.

    Live
  7. 006

Every asset searchable, including inside the video

    Media

The firm’s photo and video library, searchable by what is in it. Transcripts are indexed by timestamp, so you can jump to the moment someone said the thing. It is also the engine behind the private dinner series at 776table.com.

Search does not stop at the filename.

    Live
  8. 007

Founders put the partner in the close

    Muse

A founder gives the occasion and what would land; a 776 partner records an unscripted thirty-second video on their phone. Muse returns a shareable page to send to a candidate, new hire or customer.

The partner’s voice is a standing capability, not a favor.

Every app screen is a synthetic demo workspace — the companies, people and figures are invented. A handful are real and public on purpose, like the 776 Table dinner and the Muse video Alexis recorded. Click any screen to see it in full.

For founders

It is not just an internal tool.

Every 776 portfolio founder gets an account, and they do not use it to read a dashboard. They use it to ask for things. Over the last 90 days, more than forty portfolio companies had a live channel in Cerebro, and the requests coming through them were the real ones: a warm introduction to a specific buyer, a reference call with a lead investor mid-round, help closing a candidate who wanted to talk to an investor before signing, a press contact on a deadline.

The reason that works is the same relationship graph the firm uses internally. When a founder asks for an introduction, the request routes to whoever at 776 actually has the relationship, rather than to whoever happens to read the message first. The founder does not have to know who to ask, which is usually the hard part.
